The 205 series 600 was mainly used on the Nikko Line and Utsunomiya Line between Utsunomiya and Kuroiso from 2013 to 2022. It is a repurposed version of the 205 series on the Saikyo Line and Keiyo Line, which were replaced by the E233 series, with the installation of large toilets, conversion to single-arm pantographs, additional defrosting pantographs, and installation of semi-automated passenger door buttons. It supported passenger transport on the Utsunomiya Line and Nikko Line until the appearance of its successor, the E131 series 600.
